Requests for Documents and Additional Information
Students who are selected for FAFSA verification will have additional documents required. Federal aid cannot be processed until the verification process is complete. See Verification Policy for details.
Students required to complete verification must upload any needed documentation to CampusLogic. Here are the required steps:
Students can view their financial aid award/offer information via student self-service. The award/offer information lists the student’s offered and accepted amounts for the aid year.
Students will be able to use excess financial aid to assist with purchasing books and supplies. The Southern Crescent Technical College Bookstore’s primary goal is to ensure students are able to obtain the course materials they need at reasonable prices. They also provide many other items to support your academic career and school spirit. Purchases may be made with student financial aid, check, cash, or credit card. Visit the SCTC bookstore for dates when students can use financial aid each term
Students who withdraw from classes should understand their current and future aid could be impacted.
If the total of all your financial aid is more than your direct tuition, mandatory fees, and bookstore charges for the semester, you will receive an excess financial aid refund. Excess financial aid refunds are issued through BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc. approximately 48 days after the start of the semester.
Excess financial aid refunds will continue to be issued throughout the semester as funding is received from the Department of Education and GA Student Finance Commission.
Students can see the costs of attending SCTC and the average financial aid package available to them via the How-To Access your Federal Financial Aid Shopping Sheet.
Federal regulations require students who receive financial aid to meet a set of standards identified for Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress. Students can view their most recent Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status and access helpful websites to track their progress. SAP status is determined when the student applies for financial aid and is evaluated at the end of every semester.
