SCTC Names New Executive Vice President

Southern Crescent Technical College President Dr. Irvin Clark has announced that Dr. Xenia Johns will serve as the new Executive Vice President and Vice President of Campus Operations.

In this role, Dr. Johns will oversee campus operations across Henry, Fayette, Butts, Jasper, Spalding, and Upson counties, ensuring seamless coordination and operational excellence. She will also provide strategic leadership for Campus Police, U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeships, Sponsored Federal Programs, Athletics, Student Activities, Student Support Services, Ad Astra, and the Tender Tech Child Care Center. Additionally, she will serve as the primary liaison for K-12 partners involved in the Dual Enrollment program.

“I am thrilled to have Dr. Johns lead the campus operations and provide leadership to essential departments as the Executive Vice President and Vice President of Campus Operations.  She is well-prepared for this position and is well-respected by her peers with numerous contacts throughout our service area and the state,” SCTC President Dr. Irvin Clark stated.  “She has experienced great success as Vice President for Student Affairs and I have no doubt that she will bring the same level of enthusiasm, support, and targeted results to all programs offered at Southern Crescent Technical College.”

Johns has most recently served as the Vice President for Student Affairs for the past 16 years and has been with Southern Crescent Technical College for 20 years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University.  Xenia also earned a doctorate in Public Administration from Valdosta State University.  Dr. Johns’ work experiences include more than thirty years of leadership experience in education, nonprofit, and government administration.
